A few positive words

No, the election didn't largely go my way ideologically. Trust me, I'm going to cut into this election with a chainsaw tommorrow.

Tonight however, I'd like to remind everyone, conservative or liberal, that once again the United States has had another peaceful transition in power. We live in a nation free of military coups and dictatorial control of the polls. We should count ourselves fortunate to be blessed with such a great nation.

I wanted to give my props to one of the Republican's who found themselves defeated this week, and this seemed like the most appropriate place to do it.

Sen. George Allen of Virginian, when delivering his concession speech, made a statement that in my eyes was one of class and one that represents a viewpoint that the entirety of our government should perhaps be reminded of more often (albeit this election was a fine example). He said "the owners of our government have spoken, and I respect their decision"

I salute you Sen. Allen on going out in style. I think I speak for all of my fellow government share holders when I say that I hope your statement is a sign of partisan cooperation in the coming 2 years.
